A short horror game about a folkloric ghost from the Costa Rican rainforest. Originally created for 2023's Global Game Jam.
I took inspiration from the folkloric Costa Rican legend of La Llorona, old silent films, and a nightmare I had the other day.
Features:
- Around 15 minutes long
- Branching Narrative Paths
- Multiple Endings
It aims to be creepy rather than terrifying, but still, play it at your own risk. A headset is very much recommended.

I streamed this game... loved it. What a creepy experience haha. I enjoyed the silent movie-esque appearance with the speech cards. The scares creep up slowly over time and the... mother... is... frightening. The noises... terrible. Awful. 10/10 recommend.

Very interesting and immersive story (Game #1)
I deeply enjoyed this game, all the small things were sweet, the lack of noise other than your footsteps and the eerie cries of the creature that weeps aside the river... That paired with the interactions and the always changing dialogue + options made this quite an adventure! I have high hopes for the future development of games by this creator!

I was caught of guard on this one. The gameplay was pretty cool and she was very scary. I didn't catch up on what tale it was until the game told me, and then it clicked! I really liked it!

Found a bug: if you talk to the “midnight man” while being chased and then go to the bridge, then the game freezes on “you’re not my child?”
